PRESS RELEASE – Fatal Traffic Collision

On September 20, 2024, at approximately 4:44 a.m., Santa Clara Police Department (SCPD) officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision with injuries on Agnew Road and Montague Expressway. When officers arrived, they located a motorcyclist on the ground with visible injuries on Agnew Road just north of Montague Expressway.

SCPD officers immediately started rendering aid while paramedics rushed to the scene, but the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

Prior to the collision, the motorcyclist was seen traveling southbound on Agnew Road approaching Montague Expressway. There were no other vehicles reported to be involved, however the incident is still under investigation. The motorcyclist was identified as a 19-year-old resident of East Palo Alto, CA.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Traffic Investigator Scott Wilson 408-615-4764.
