City of Toronto to host two telephone town halls for the 2025 Budget, offering more ways for residents to provide input and feedback

As part of its ongoing commitment to engage residents and gather input on the 2025 Budget, the City of Toronto will hold two telephone town halls:
• Wednesday, January 15, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
• Thursday, January 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Mayor Olivia Chow and Councillor Shelley Carroll (Don Valley North), Chair of the Budget Committee, will be joined by senior City staff to provide an overview of the staff-prepared 2025 Budget and offer participants the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

The telephone town halls will connect thousands of Toronto residents with their city. To participate, some residents will receive an incoming call, while others can join by dialling the toll-free number 1-833-380-0687 at the scheduled times.

Additional engagement opportunities
Toronto residents will also have the opportunity to address members of the Budget Committee in person or by video conference on Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, at locations across the city.

Public meetings will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. onwards on the following dates:
Tuesday, January 21:
• Toronto City Hall, Committee Room 1, 100 Queen St. W.
• Scarborough Civic Centre, Council Chamber, 150 Borough Dr.
Wednesday, January 22:
• Etobicoke Civic Centre, Council Chamber, 399 The West Mall
• North York Civic Centre, Council Chamber, 5100 Yonge St.

Speakers are asked to register and indicate a preferred day and timeslot by emailing: buc@toronto.ca or calling: 416-392-4666 before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 20. Individuals may only make one presentation and will be provided with instructions on how to join the meeting.

The meeting will be streamed live on the Toronto City Council YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/TorontoCityCouncilLive.
