Pike Place Market Historic Commission







Mayor Bruce Harrell and the Pike Place Market Historical Commission are seeking three new members to serve on the Commission. The openings are for:


* Position 5, a merchant of the Market
* Position 8, a resident of the Historical District
* Position 12, an at-large position appointed from nominees submitted to the Mayor by the Commission.

The Pike Place Market Historical Commission is a governmental body that reviews and makes decisions about proposed changes to use and design within the Pike Place Market Historical District [ https://www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/historic-preservation/historic-districts?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]. Its twelve members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The Mayor appoints two architects, two merchants of the Market, two residents of the Historical District, and one owner of property within the Historical District to serve on the commission. The Mayor also appoints two positions from Friends of the Market, two positions from Allied Arts of Seattle, and one position from the Commission, from the nominees submitted by each of those organizations.

The Commission’s regular meetings are held in a hybrid format on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. in the PDA Classroom, located in the Market.

Please include a resume, if available. Submittals will be accepted until *5:00 pm on Monday November 4.*
