Performs a variety of manual labor tasks in assistance to fully-trained personnel to repair, maintain, operate, and install basic city or park infrastructure systems and/or support events or activities. Work consists of routine and repetitive tasks, processes, and/or operations and will be performed cooperatively with other employees and completed in a manner that assures individual, coworker, and public safety in all weather and working conditions.
 
*Distinguishing Characteristics:*
Once an employee at the maintenance aide 1 level is able to independently perform all the tasks and duties associated with his/her assignment and has obtained any necessary certification, it is possible for the incumbent to be eligible for movement to maintenance aide 2 depending on the complexity of the assignment, nature of the work, and how much prior experience the incumbent has with the city in the same assignment body { font-size: 1em; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; color: #333333; }
