08/12/2024 - Marketplace/Non-Marketplace WSUS SSL Configuration

*Summary*

The CMS Cloud team will make WSUS site configuration changes to enable onboarded patching instances to communicate metadata over SSL 

*Actions we are taking*

WSUS will be configured to communicate metadata to clients over SSL for security compliance. The change will take place on Monday, Aug 12, 2024.

*When is this happening?*

Start: Monday, Aug 12, 2024 9:00 a.m. ET

End: Monday, Aug 12, 2024 7:00 p.m. ET

*Who will be impacted?*

All customers onboarded to managed patching. 

*What is the impact? *

Customers will receive the SSL configuration through a group policy update. WSUS servers will be configured and rebooted which will not have a direct impact on customer instances.

*Benefits of the change *

This change will provide increased security

08/16/2024 - Upcoming CMS Cloud Monthly Gold Image Release

*Summary*

Updated Gold Images for the Windows, Amazon Linux 2, and RedHat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems are in development and will be released for consumption next week to all CMS Cloud environments.
