The Solid Waste Division (SWD) is recruiting an enthusiastic team player for an Administrative Specialist II (Term Limited Temporary) position in their Project Management Office. This position is expected to continue until December 2025 with the possibility of an extension. This is a great opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with people in a team environment and a great opportunity to showcase your administrative skills, by providing clerical support to large capital projects within the SWD. As a team member of the PMO, you will work with a team of highly motivated project managers and technical subject matter experts across all lines of SWD business.  
 
This position performs work remotely and onsite. 
 
*About this Role:*
This position provides a variety of technical clerical services in support of SWD’s PMO section. The Administrative Specialist II delivers excellent customer service and assists project managers with day-to-day duties such as creating meeting agendas and minutes, drafting letters, memos, and spreadsheets, arranging and scheduling project meetings and workshops with large attendances, data entry, Sharepoint administration, registering staff for training, placing and processing office supply orders, assist in travel arrangement and reimbursement and many other administrative functions.

*About the Team:*
The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the successful delivery of major SWD capital improvement projects. We manage scopes, schedules, and budgets while ensuring environmental, equity, sustainability, and other project requirements are met. Members of the PMO manage or support Capital Improvement Projects for the Solid Waste Division. Capital projects help maintain or improve SWD assets such as our transfer stations, drop boxes, Cedar Hills Regional Landfill, and other systems necessary to support our SWD goals. Our section leads the Division’s efforts on overseeing the project management of a variety of projects by leading project teams, consultants, contractors, and technical/program staff to ensure seamless project delivery by integrating organizational and stakeholder requirements.
