和泉市では、毎月11日に駅前での「いずみあいさつ運動」と清掃活動をしておりますが、今月は11日が日曜日ですので、本日実施し、私も和泉市の玄関であります和泉府中駅周辺の清掃活動に参加いたしました。
この取り組みも平成25年からはじめて、11年目を迎えます。開始当初は、わずか30分ほどで45リットルのゴミ袋がいっぱいになりましたが、今は10リットルの袋でも余裕があるほどゴミが少なくなりました。
また、通勤等の方々から、「ご苦労様」というお声がけもいただき、大変嬉しく思うとともに、まさに「継続は力なり」と実感いたします。
私たちのまちを私たちの手でキレイにするこの活動が町会・自治会や学校、企業など、地域へ広がりを見せ、和泉市をこれからも美しく保てるよう活動を継続してまいります。
