Exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Kominato Railroad "Ko-o Imai ・ Hatsushin Ourai ！" (The 100th Anniversary of the Kominato Railroad)

This exhibition is planned to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Kominato Railway, the representative railroad of Ichihara City, in 2025. This art exhibition was planned with the aim of looking back on the history of the railroad, which is a regional treasure, and to connect it to the future.

The Kominato Railway was opened in 1925 with 1,000 residents along the line as shareholders, and has supported the development of Ichihara and people's lives as a key transportation system connecting the northern and southern parts of Ichihara. The station buildings and rolling stock, which retain a strong Showa-era flavor, are popular spots and have been loved by many railroad fans and local residents. On the other hand, the depopulation of the southern part of the city has led to financial difficulties, and the regional art festival "ICHIHARA ART × MIX" has also developed a project aimed at revitalizing the Kominato Railway.

Therefore, the museum, which aims to be a center for regional development through art, will hold the exhibition "Ko-o Imai ・ Hartei Aurai ！" to illuminate and transmit the history and charm of the Kominato Railway through art.
