National Police Week

The City of Tampa is joining communities across the country to recognize fallen officers during National Police Week (May 9 - May 15). You are invited to join Mayor Jane Castor, Chief Brian Dugan and the men and women of the Tampa Police Department for a special memorial ceremony (https://tampapolicememorial.org/event/tampa-police-memorial-ceremony-2/) honoring the 32 TPD officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. The annual Police Memorial Ceremony takes place on May 11 at 7:30 p.m. in front of the downtown Police Headquarters at 411 North Franklin. Street. Old City Hall, downtown bridges, Curtis Hixon Park, Raymond James Stadium and the Sunshine Skyway will all go blue during National Police Week. Residents are also encouraged to shine blue porch lights in support of local law enforcement.

Cereal for the Summer

Join the Tampa Police Department and WTSP News Channel 10 in helping provide breakfast (https://feedingtampabay.org/how-you-can-help/give-food/cereal-for-summer) for kids in need this summer. Dropoff unopened boxes of cereal or any non-perishable breakfast food items at the downtown TPD headquarters or police district office location near you! Deadline for donations is May 13.
