Exchange with Sister City Mobil - Host Family Volunteers Needed ！ - [Until 5/9].

From July 23 （ Wednesday ） to July 31 （ Thursday ）, 2025, a youth delegation from our sister city, Mobile, Alabama, USA, will visit our city.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us host the delegation as a host family during their stay ！

＝ What you can get from being a host family ＝
■ You can experience different cultures
You can broaden your horizons by coming into contact with American culture, which is different from that of Japan.
You will deepen your understanding of different values and ways of thinking, which is a valuable experience that cannot be gained through formal learning alone, even from the comfort of your own home.
■ It will trigger your interest in English
Even if you are not fluent in English, you can communicate with simple words and gestures ！
When you are able to communicate, you will feel confident and want to communicate more. When you can communicate, you will feel confident and want to be able to communicate better.
Also, through real-life situations in which they use English, they become motivated to learn English.
■ Make new family and friends abroad
Host families are a valuable opportunity to "meet people" in life beyond cultural exchange and language experience.
The accumulation of daily life situations such as meals and outings lead to not just exchanges, but to the building of trusting relationships.
Then, after returning home, they keep in touch with each other and a relationship like a new family or friend is born.
＝ The Role of Host Families ＝
During their stay in our city, the visiting youth will have the opportunity to tour the city, interact with local students, spend a day with their host families, and much more.
The host family will provide support as a member of the family.
In case of emergency, the city and Ichihara International Association will support you ！
■ Main roles
・ Daily life support such as serving meals and washing clothes
・ Daily drop-off and pick-up （ Meet in the morning mainly around the city hall and disperse in the evening ）
・ Free day （ A day with a host family ） Outing at

■ Acceptance period
Host families will be accepted in the first half and the second half. Of course, it is possible to accept both the first half and the second half. ！ （ Welcome ！ ）

・ The sister city exchange program with Mobile is conducted by the city and Ichihara International Exchange Association Therefore, the information you provide in your application will be used only for the purposes for which it is requested. Therefore, please be advised that the information you provide in your application will be shared with the Ichihara International Association for various coordination purposes.
・ After receiving your application, the city or the Ichihara International Association will contact you to confirm your family composition and home conditions.
・ We may not be able to accept all families depending on the number of applications and other factors. We will make adjustments based on the schedule of the host environment, etc. ・ We will contact you to let you know.
