*Are you a skilled data scientist with a commitment to social justice and utilization-focused performance measurement? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with partners to facilitate data-informed decision making? Are you interested in putting your skills to work to make a difference in your community? If so, King County's Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is looking for you! *
DCHS manages a wide range of programs and services to assist the county's most vulnerable residents. Within DCHS, the Behavioral Health and Recovery Division (BHRD) provides high-quality behavioral health services to help ensure people with mental health and substance use disorders receive the services they need. DCHS has a tremendous opportunity for behavioral health data scientists to partner with one of the country’s largest human services departments in advancing a cutting-edge collaborative model supporting behavioral health and pro-equity, community-driven programming to support people in King County!
These *two* positions are centrally located within the Performance Measurement and Evaluation (PME) unit of the DCHS Director's Office but will support BHRD. PME is composed of a team of dedicated data scientists and program evaluators who work with partners within and outside of DCHS to provide insights for data-informed program and policy decisions and test innovative approaches to tackle a variety of system, policy, and service delivery challenges.
These positions will support a variety of programs and services provided by BHRD, including crisis and commitment, substance use disorder, and mental health services funded by the Crisis Care Center Levy, the MIDD Behavioral Health Sales Tax, and the Washington State HealthCare Authority. You will be working with a team of extremely talented data scientists and evaluators to develop performance measures and dashboards, manage administrative databases, create analytic tools, conduct advanced quantitative analyses, and prepare reports that inform the operation of the behavioral healthcare system in King County.
*WHO MAY APPLY: *These positions are open to all qualified candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. Interviews for this selection process are anticipated to take place on or around November 20 - 25, 2024.
*REQUIRED MATERIALS:* Candidates who wish to be considered for the positions must submit a complete King County application online and respond to the supplemental questions. Please ensure that you respond to these supplemental questions fully and thoughtfully, as they will be evaluated alongside your application during the recruitment process.
