Noise advisory on Aug. 5 for Kalaheo Water Systems Improvement Project

KALAHEO – The Department of Water (DOW) and contractor, Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc. (HDCCI) will be performing critical work to construct a new water storage tank for the Kalaheo Water Systems Improvement Project. A noise advisory is planned for an early morning mobilization and operation of heavy equipment and construction work on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, beginning at approximately 2 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, in the vicinity of Pu’uwai Road, Kikala Road and Po’ohiwi Road.

The early morning mobilization is being organized to eliminate traffic concerns within the neighborhood during the start of the new school year and to maintain the project’s existing schedule. While the work is being conducted residents may experience construction related noises, vibration and an increase of equipment traveling on the road with safety protocols in place.

HDCCI will resume normal working hours on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
