King County Metro Transit's Streetcar Section is conducting an internal recruitment for a hard-working and detail-oriented person to serve on a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) as a *Rail Service Worker*. Rail Service Workers are primarily responsible for cleaning the interiors and exteriors streetcars, to meet high standards of cleanliness for Streetcar riders.

Metro Transit maintains and operates the Seattle Streetcar on behalf of the City of Seattle. Current routes include the 1.3- mile South Lake Union Line and 2.5-mile First Hill Line, proudly serving the diverse and vibrant residential communities and business districts around Seattle's downtown core.
 
*Position Information*
This Special Duty assignment is anticipated to fill one (1) vacancy for six months with the possibility of extension to last one year.  This recruitment may be used to establish an eligibility list to full future SDA vacancies in this classification that may occur within the next 12 months, or at the discretion of the hiring authority.

This position is considered safety sensitive.
