Carbon Monoxide Safety

Carbon Monoxide safety

If you use gas as your energy source, whether it be your stove, fireplace, furnace or any gas-fueled appliance, you are at risk of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

Always follow manufacturers' instructions for installing, maintaining, and using gas appliances to protect your loved ones. Consider installing CO detectors for added safety.

If you suspect CO is present, get fresh air immediately, seek medical attention for symptoms and call 911 and our emergency line at 480-644-4277.

*Learn more about CO and how to recognize the symptoms.  [ https://www.mesaaz.gov/residents/energy/safety-education/carbon-monoxide-safety?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]*

*Alarm System and Permits*

alarm system

Alarm systems are designed to safeguard lives and property when they are correctly installed, operated, and maintained. However, improper use or maintenance can lead to a significant increase in the number of calls requiring police dispatch.

By working together, we can help reduce false alarm activations. To support this effort, you can visit our website to *apply for a new permit, renew an existing one or settle any false alarm fee assessments*.

We also offer an Alarm Awareness course, which covers the basics of the alarm program. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a $50 waiver, applicable to any false alarm fee. This waiver may be used once per year.

Learn more about alarm system use and required permits by reviewing the *Alarm Ordinance [ https://library.municode.com/az/mesa/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=COOR_TIT6PORE_CH15ALSY&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]*.

American Pickers to Film in Arizona

American Pickers

The American Pickers are excited to return to Arizona! They plan to film episodes of The History Channel hit television series in November.

American Pickers is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique “picking." The show follows skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way.

The Pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them. *If you or someone you know has a unique item, story to tell, and is ready to sell…they would love to hear from you!*

If interested, please send your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to *americanpickers@cineflix.com*. Or call 646-493-2184.
