Final paving activities on 108th Avenue Southeast near Southeast 34th Street planned for September 23 - 25

King County North Mercer Island Enatai Sewer Upgrade Project

September 2024

Final paving activities on 108th Avenue Southeast near Southeast 34th Street planned for

September 23 - 25

On September 23, crews will start final asphalt paving on 108th Ave Southeast near Southeast 34th St. There will be an increase in noise and vibration from paving and compacting the roadway. During this time, there will be detour signs to redirect traffic onto surrounding streets (map below).

Final paving is scheduled for September 23 through September 24. This work is weather dependent and may shift to September 25 if needed. Drivers can expect single-lane traffic and intermittent closures of the intersection until paving activities are completed.

*Traffic impacts and detours* <NMEsewer@kingcounty.gov>

There will be temporary and intermittent road closures during paving. Once crews begin paving, they cannot stop or allow cars to drive on the newly paved roadway until it has cured.

While crews work along 108th S.E., flaggers will direct single lane traffic through the work area. When the intersection is open, there will be single-lane traffic during work hours. When the intersection is closed, there will be a detour around the work area. If you have access concerns, please contact us at 425-305-3578 or NMEsewer@kingcounty.gov.

*Please drive carefully and follow all signage and instructions from crews when traveling through the area.*
