The "Nankai Trough Earthquake Advisory" (large earthquake warning) and "provisional information" issued on 8 August have now ended as of 5:00 p.m. 15 August. The announcements were because there was a higher risk of a Nankai Trough Earthquake, due to the large earthquake (Magnitude 7.1) that occurred on 8 August in the Hyuga Sea off the coast of Miyazaki Prefecture.

Even though the "provisional information" has ended, a large earthquake could still strike at any time.
Please regularly check if you are prepared (by knowing where your family members are, checking your emergency bag supplies, etc.) so you are ready to evacuate immediately if an earthquake strikes.
