The Community Health Services Division of *Public Health | Seattle & King County* [ https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/dph ] is seeking a *Maternal & Parent Health Policy & Systems Lead (Health Services Administrator 1) *to join our team!
The Best Starts for Kids Initiative is seeking a Maternal & Parent Health Policy & Systems Lead. The Maternal & Parent Health Policy & Systems Lead will work across both Public Health | Seattle & King County (PHSKC) and Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) to provide policy and systems support for Best Starts focused on Maternal and Parent Health. This leader will provide strategic direction for Best Starts for Kids (BSK) implementation and policy leadership PHSKC’s all facets of PHSKC’s maternal and health policy and system change efforts. 

The Policy Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, directing and evaluating the maternal and child health policies and for Public Health – Seattle & King County and the role of assurance for the Community Health Services Division. They will work within the Community Health Services division to provide a role of assurance for maternal and parent wellness and partner closely with staff working deeply in this area across both PHSKC and DCHS.

*Some of the the work associated with this position will be performed remotely; Expected 2-3 days per week in person for onsite work and meetings as needed.* Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities.  Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
 
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.

The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment.  
  *Work Schedule:**
    * 40 Hours Per Week. Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 6:00 pm.
