We now have a P.O.P. (Problem-Oriented Policing) Team patrolling the 18b Arts District in addition to the Fremont Street Experience. 

The team focuses on communication with business owners, providing resources to those in need in the community and responding to calls for service in the area.

The Las Vegas Book Festival is the largest literary event in Nevada, presented by the city of Las Vegas and Nevada Humanities, along with many sponsors and supporters. This 23rd annual celebration of the written, spoken and illustrated word is free and open to all ages. Through the years, the festival has presented countless well-known authors, panel discussions, readings, workshops and book signings. Topics of interest include politics, social issues, history, popular fiction, cooking and science fiction. There is something for everyone.

A full schedule of activities that includes panel discussions, book signings, workshops and arts and crafts for children will be shared closer to the event.
