*City To Host Oct. 1 Remembrance Ceremony*

    For planning purposes, below are details on the event that the city of Las Vegas is scheduled to host in remembrance of those we lost during the Oct. 1, 2017, shooting tragedy. This information is to assist with your coverage planning for this event.

 

    The Tuesday, Oct. 1, remembrance ceremony at the Las Vegas Community Healing Garden, located at 1015 S. Casino Center Blvd., will take place at 10:05 p.m. The ceremony will include the reading of the names of the 58 victims who were lost the night of the shooting. Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman and city of Las Vegas Communications Director David Riggleman will read the names. A bell will toll and a candle will be lit in remembrance for each person we lost as a result of the attack at the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert.

 

    The city will livestream the ceremony on its Facebook and X pages and at www.kclv.tv/live [ http://www.kclv.tv/live?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]. It will also be broadcast live on KCLV channel 2, the city’s government access television station.

 

*    Media should be on site and have cameras in place no later than 9:30 p.m. Media parking will be located on Coolidge Avenue east of Casino Center Boulevard. Media should access Coolidge from Third Street. Space will be limited and live trucks should plan to arrive no later than 9 p.m.*
