Homekey+ Program - Call For Projects

REMINDER - Informational Session for Developers

Tuesday, January 7th, 2025

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

The City of Los Angeles ("City"), through the Los Angeles Housing Department ("LAHD" or "Department"), is pleased to announce the Call for Projects for the Homekey+ Program. In response to the recent announcement by the California Department of Housing and

Community Development (HCD) of its Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), LAHD requests project information from qualified entities with proven experience developing, owning and operating supportive housing, and providing or coordinating supportive services to people experiencing homelessness and/or people at risk of homelessness. The HCD Homekey+ program is designed to provide permanent supportive housing for individuals or households with an individual who is homeless, chronically homeless, or at-risk of homeless, and who is also living with mental health or substance abuse disorder challenges.

LAHD will be looking closely at projects with prior HCD or other awards in need of gap financing to commence construction, particularly those projects that already have a funding commitment from the City. There may be opportunities to partner with the City for other project types, but that will depend on the availability of funding for capital and operations. It is strongly advised that any potential applicants already have a form of site control for their projects.

Attendance is not mandatory. The session will provide background on the City’s past Homekey rounds, highlight new changes, and answer any questions you may have.

Please note that submitting a Project Information Survey will not automatically grant you assistance from the City. The selection process will largely depend on the competitiveness of the project based on the HCD Guidelines and City priorities.

Monday, January 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM PST - For all other Project Types
