He also noted that the East Lansing Parks, Recreation & Arts Department is striving to collect 1,500 pounds of nonperishable food items on behalf of the Greater Lansing Food Bank. The deadline to make a donation is Friday, Dec. 15. Donations should be placed in the clean City of East Lansing recycling carts inside the lobby of the ELHCC.
During the City Attorney's Report, East Lansing City Attorney Tony Chubb clarified the rental overlay process further, noting the vote on the evening's consent agenda is not to adopt the overlay. He noted that there will be several meetings about the process at the Planning Commission, which is open to the public, before then coming back to City Council to decide to accept, reject or amend the map.
