============================================================
EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Meet Neris Reyero, Cemetery Coordinator in the Parks and Recreation Department. She has worked for the City of Tampa for 21 years and enjoys helping the many families that reach out to the department for help. They often reach out for two reasons: They just lost a loved one, or they are trying to locate someone they care about. Neris values being able to help them in their time of grief or giving them the information they are looking for.

What’s something unique about your job that others wouldn’t know? That we have eight cemeteries, and each is unique in its own right.

What do you like to do in your free time? Stay at home, relax with my husband, watching TV or just hanging out. I’m very much a homebody. If I’m not doing that, I like exercising.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Tampa? Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue. Besides the meat, which I really like, they don’t have only the typical sides like corn bread and baked beans. They also have Brussels sprouts and jasmine rice.

What’s your dream vacation? Since I was born and raised here, and am used to the scenery, I would travel anywhere. But at the top of my list is Ireland. It looks beautiful in pictures and videos, and I am sure that they don’t do it justice.

What are you binging on Netflix right now? The last show I watched on Netflix was The Crown. Right now, I am watching “The Office: Superfan Episodes” on Peacock. It’s one of my favorite shows.
SPECIAL FEATURE
Did you know that the Mobility Department maintains 2,800 paved lane miles of streets? Our team members also resurface about 400,000 square yards of asphalt annually.

See a pothole? Don't forget to report it to our ** Fix It Fast Program (https://www.tampa.gov/mobility/transportation/fix-it-fast)
