*NE 12th Street Medina Residents:*

As part of our NE 12th Street Pedestrian Improvement Project currently underway, PSE will be starting work along the NE 12th corridor, from Evergreen Point Road east to 80th Place NE, beginning on Monday, August 12th.

Work is expected to take place between the hours of approximately 8 AM to 4 PM, weekdays, through Tuesday, August 20th. Work will consist of installing new poles within the right of way, roughly 3-5’ north of where they are currently located, and relocation of the existing overhead electrical lines to those new poles. *PSE expects to be taking a planned outage from 8 AM to 4 PM on Friday, August 16th* to complete some of the cut-over work from the old system to the new system. This will affect all residences in the aforementioned corridor. PSE Community Outreach will be placing robocalls to all affected residents. If any calls “bounce back” they will be hanging flyers on the residences they get the “bounce back” from.

There may be additional, more localized planned outages on Monday (8/19) and Tuesday (8/20) to complete service cut-overs. Those outages will be communicated directly to affected residences by the PSE crew or construction manager, likely in the form of door hangers. 

*PLEASE NOTE –* PSE is not responsible for the transfer of existing communication wires from the old poles to the new poles. That will be performed by the communication company(s) that own those wires, likely at a later date. The old poles will be removed by PSE after the communication wires have been transferred.
