Meet Andre Bien-Aime

Meet Andre Bien-Aime, a Professional Engineer in the Water Department. He has worked for the City of Tampa for over nine years and he enjoys that his role offers the opportunity to teach and mentor new engineers, setting them up for success in their careers.

What do you like to do in your free time? I’m a choir director for my community. I spend a lot of my free time with my three kids, my wife, and community. Music is a big part of my life, so I also enjoy playing guitar in my downtime.

What's your favorite meal to cook? My favorite meal to cook is rice and beans. It’s a dish that’s not only central to my culture but also common in many other cultures.

What's your dream vacation? I’ve already been to two of my dream vacations. I’ve been to Hawaii already. We visited France - my wife and I went to Paris. So, my next stop would be visiting Africa, either South Africa or Egypt.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Tampa? I have a bit of a weakness for Olive Garden. It was one of the first places I took my girlfriend at the time, now wife. It’s always been a reliable, budget-friendly spot for good food.

What’s your favorite holiday? Christmas is my favorite holiday. It’s a time for giving, celebrating, and spreading joy. Thanksgiving is a close second, but Christmas holds the top spot for me.
