＜ About the Royal Kingsguard ＞
There are five Kingsguard regiments in the British Army: the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scottish Guards, Irish Guards and Welsh Guards. Each of these regiments has a fine military band and their history dates back to 1785. Approximately 45 bands play traditional English brass band music, with the Grenadier ・ Gers ・ Band and the Coldstream ・ Gers ・ Band considered particularly outstanding. They have been highly acclaimed for their performances at national events, changing of the guard ceremonies, and at home and abroad, and their brilliant performance at the 2012 London Olympics was televised around the world.

This time, a parade and concert are scheduled from the sister city London to Tokyo as a bridge between the UK and Japan. The program will include British masterpieces such as "Dignity" and original ensembles from the 18th century, as well as new musical challenges through an exclusive composition contract with Philip ・ Spark. Their partnership with the College of Music improves their technique, which is reflected in their performances, and their Japan tour in 2024 will be their 16th anniversary performance, and we invite you to experience the performance of the Royal Military Band of Honor. Their magnificent performance will leave you in awe.
