A workshop will be held on the （ CNC router ）, a digital machine tool that enables flexible woodworking under computer control, installed in the craft room of the Seiwa Regional Base Complex "ORAGAWA". In this workshop, participants will learn the series of steps from the preview held in February this year to actually creating their own design data with CAM software and cutting it out with the CNC router.

This will be a series of workshops from STEP1 to STEP3.

In Kimitsu City, the use of digital technology to utilize local resources and solve local issues, and the creation of products and In January 2024, a digital machine tool （ CNC router ） was installed in the craft room of the Seiwa Regional Base Complex "Oragawa", which was renovated and reopened in the former Akimoto Elementary School complex, to enable flexible woodworking under computer control. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control （ Computer Numerical Control ） and is a machine that automatically cuts and carves wood by moving rotating tools （ and drills ） under computer command. A machine that automatically cuts and engraves wood.

Mass production ・ Mass consumption manufacturing was done by large machine tools in factories. With the advancement of technology, the machines used in factories have become smaller ・ and cheaper, creating an environment in which individuals can easily participate in manufacturing. The CNC router installed at Oragawa is one such machine. It allows individuals who have not been involved in manufacturing to freely participate in advanced manufacturing.

There are many forest resources in Cheong Wa. This workshop will be the first step in an attempt to create new innovation, economy, and new ways of working in the region by sending out woodwork that is unique to Kiyowa, using Kiyowa's forest resources, from here in Oragawa. Those already involved in woodwork production are welcome to participate, as well as amateurs ・ who are trying to create new products such as art works （ signboards ・ wooden toys and freelance creators ）.
