スペシャルヴェニュ国際音楽コンクールは、全ての楽器を対象にした、年齢制限なし、職業制限なしの、アメリカ拠点の国際クラシック音楽コンクールです。審査は自由曲のビデオ審査一回のみ。入賞者はアメリカのハーバード大学の美しいメモリアル教会での演奏会へ、出演を推薦されます。
過去に使用したビデオでの申し込みも可能です。
ピアノ、弦楽器、声楽、木管楽器、金管楽器、古楽器、クラシックギターなど全ての楽器による演奏をビデオ審査します。カテゴリーはソロ、デュオ、室内楽。複数のカテゴリーでの申し込みも可能です。

ビデオ審査早期締め切りは5月31日、最終締め切りは7月31日。
入賞者コンサートは10月13日(日)　ハーバード大学キャンパス内　メモリアル教会

Communities in Schools will join the JSYO onstage for a remarkable concert showing off the musical growth of our students that you won’t want to miss!

This multi-generational cabaret show features an impressive array of talent from First Plymouth Congregational Church. You’ll enjoy singers, full bands, comedy, skits, dance, and other diverse talents. All to benefit First Plymouth’s Community Camp held at the La Foret Conference and Retreat Center.

Amy K. Bormet is a pianist, vocalist, and composer renowned for her fearless and free-wheeling style as well as her dedication to creating new music. Seamlessly fusing elements of jazz and the avant-garde, her performances and compositions reflect her deep musical knowledge and bold experimentation. In 2011, Bormet created the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, an initiative aimed at fostering creative community spaces by and for women and non-binary artists of DC’s celebrated improvisational music communities.

目的:
2024年新年午後4時に能登半島にて、震度マグニチュード7.6の地震が起き、沢山の方たちがお亡くなりになり、約10000件の家屋が崩壊され、被災者の方々がシェルターで寒い環境、不自由な生活をされています。私(Omen44 )は日本のニュースをYouTubeで拝見し、1人の男性を目撃しました、彼は自分の目の前で息子さんと奥様を亡くされました。息子さんは、父親に母親の居場所を知らせる為、死ぬ間際まで家屋に挟まれながらも家屋を叩き続け父親に母親の居場所知らせました。父親は息子さんをとても誇らしいと語っており、「元日は卑怯ですよ」と語った一言が心に突き刺さりました。私自身も、息子さんと同い年の娘がおりもし自分が同じ状況だったら、、、。と思うと涙が出てきて、とても いたたまれない気持ちになりました。そこで、自分には何か出来ないか？という気持ちで、このイベントを企画しました。

Jerry Seinfeld’s comedy career took off after his first appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1981. Eight years later, he teamed up with fellow comedian Larry David to create what was to become the most successful comedy series in the history of television: Seinfeld. The show ran on NBC for nine seasons, winning numerous Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards, and was named the greatest television show of all time in 2009 by TV Guide, and in 2012 was identified as the best sitcom ever in a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll.

Blossoming with the arrival of spring, our series finale fills the hall with the beauty of lush romanticism. Lili Boulanger’s vibrant, impressionistic swan song, D’un matin de printemps, pairs like a fine French wine with Saint-Saëns’ virtuosic Violin Concerto No. 3, played for us by award-winning violinist Francisco Fullana, in his Boulder debut. We reach the zenith of Romantic passion with Tchaikovsky’s autobiographical portrayal of his struggles with fate, juxtaposed against glimpses of hope and grace, as we close our season with his dramatic Symphony No. 5 in E minor.

Vonda Shepard will hit the stage with her all-star band as she returns to The Smith Center. The performance will feature songs from her new album, Red Light, Green Light, as well as her classic originals, “Maryland,” “Baby, Don’t You Break My Heart Slow,” and many more. They will also play some of the “Ally McBeal” faves, of course! This is an incredibly soulful and dynamic show, featuring James Ralston on guitar (Tina Turner, 22 years!), Jim Hanson on bass (Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen!) and a very special guest, Paul Taylor on drums (currently playing percussion with Crowded House!). Vonda has sold over twelve million albums, has won two Golden Globe Awards, two Emmys and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the Billboard Award for selling the most television soundtrack albums in history.

Dmitri Shostakovich struggled his entire life to maintain his integrity as an artist while also serving the Soviet state as required. His 10th Symphony, completed after the death of dictator Joseph Stalin, was a balancing act as well as a mid-life crisis set to music.

We3, comprised of pianist Nicole Pesce, violinist Suzanne Lansford, and vocalist Renee Patrick and joined by drummer Sheila Earley, entertains audiences of all ages with styles that include jazz, swing, blues, standards, world music, pop and R&B.

COUNTRY MUSIC’S FASTEST-RISING BELOVED VOICE

Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 is filled with optimistic and lyrical music, leading to a finale of fanfares and dances. Conductor Katharina Wincor, who led the May Festival's 2022 production of Candide, returns to Music Hall and welcomes cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason for Shostakovich's raw and rhythmic first Cello Concerto.
