DOW Update: Water shutdown on Po'ohiwi Road rescheduled to July 23

07/16/24, KALAHEO – The water service shutdown on Po’ohiwi Road has been rescheduled to next week Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.

07/15/24, KALAHEO - The water service shutdown planned for Po'ohiwi Road has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting. An update will be provided if new information is received.

07/10/24, KALAHEO - The Department of Water (DOW) announces a water service shutdown scheduled for Po'ohiwi Road on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.

The water service shutdown is necessary to allow DOW contractor to install a bypass waterline on Po'ohiwi Road for the Kalaheo Water Systems Improvements Project.

Customers are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:

Store water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
Notify neighbors, family and friends of the water service shutdown.
Those with faulty water heaters should ensure their water heater does not empty during the shutdown.
