Park Spotlight: Warner Woods Park

Have you checked out Columbus’ newest park yet? Warner Woods Park [ https://columbusrecparks.com/parks/warner-woods-park/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ], located in Northeast Columbus at 4790 Warner Road, 43081, is a must-see! This 45-acre green space offers three full-size irrigated turf soccer fields, pickleball courts, a futsal court, a bicycle skills track, an open-air shelter and fully accessible benches, tables and pathways. The park features an accessible playground with rubber surfacing, a wheelchair-accessible carousel and ground play elements. Enjoy the scenic boardwalk through a wetland area for beautiful views of the park’s forested areas.

Looking to host an event? Warner Woods Pavilion [ https://columbusrecparks.com/facilities/rentals/event-venues/warner-woods-pavilion/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ], located at 4747 Central College Road, 43081, can be rented for gatherings of up to 100 people, making it perfect for weddings, showers and reunions. Catch the region's top amateur boxers battling it out in a series of thrilling matches. Feel the energy in the air as the crowd roars with every jab, hook and knockout! Two new thought-provoking exhibits at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center invite you to explore themes of home, resilience and craftsmanship. The Main Gallery features "Habitat" [ https://www.culturalartscenteronline.org/exhibitions/main-gallery/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]", "a unique two-artist exhibition by Nicki Crock and Christopher Burk that explores themes of home and environment. Nicki presents her impressive large-scale sculpture, "Packed", while Christopher showcases pieces from his "Flooded House Series", inspired by contemporary media and news imagery. In the Loft Gallery, "Cold Connections: Art from the Metal Smith & Enamel Studios" [ https://www.culturalartscenteronline.org/exhibitions/loft-gallery/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ] features stunning jewelry and sculpture crafted by students from the Metal Smith & Enamel Studios. Created using “cold connections”—techniques that require no soldering—their pieces reveal the innovative possibilities of this specialized metalwork method.
