*Gatekeeper Authorization Hearing*

For Council to consider and discuss authorizing an applicant/developer to submit a formal planning application for a proposed new development that requires a legislative update (a Zoning, Precise Plan, and/or General Plan map or text amendment) at the following locations:


* *2400-2470 E. Charleston Road* (APN’s 147-02-017, 147-02-018, and 147-02-019) - K. Cyrus Sanandaji for Charleston Mountain View Owner, LLC is requesting amendments to the General Plan and Zoning designations to allow a mixed-use development consisting of residential, office, open space, and commercial uses; and
* *62 W. El Camino Real* (APN 158-01-003) - Dante Abordo, MCP for U-Haul is requesting amendments to the El Camino Real Precise Plan to redevelop a site with an existing commercial building (U-Haul) to allow a 5-story Personal Storage Facility.

No project decisions will be made at this hearing. The Council will review the Gatekeeper applications in accordance with the authorization criteria and decide whether the applicants can proceed with submitting a formal planning application to begin the development review process. The Gatekeeper Authorization Hearing is not a project under Public Resources Code Section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15378.
