The warning screen was fake ！ Beware of support scams

While using a PC, a warning screen appeared saying that the PC was infected by a virus and stopped working. When I called, I was told that I needed a support contract to remotely restore my computer. The company told me that I needed to purchase electronic money at a convenience store and enter the number in order to sign the contract, so I purchased 50,000 yen worth and entered it. However, the customer was told that the number had been invalidated due to an input error, and was forced to purchase and input the number several times, ending up paying approximately 600,000 yen. （ 80s ）

If you suddenly get a warning screen or a warning tone while using the Internet, do not panic, but first suspect that it is a fake. Never contact the phone number displayed. If you cannot judge for yourself, consult someone around you.
If you agree to install remote control software as instructed, or if you are asked to purchase prepaid electronic money, etc. to pay for a support contract, etc., do not comply.
