11 a.m., Aug. 29, Notice: Firefighters extinguish fire at Plantation Hale, officials remain on scene

WAILUA – Firefighters responded to Plantation Hale Suites in Wailua Thursday morning, after a fire was reported in an apartment unit. The fire has since been extinguished and the incident is under control.

There were no occupants in the unit at the time of the fire, and no injuries have been reported. However, firefighters did evacuate the building as a precaution during their initial response.

Fire officials remain on scene at this time. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
