I had a pretty decent-sized group of our Boy Scouts working on the Citizenship in the Community merit badge this month, and I reached out to our City Councilwoman Bridgett Christian Lewis to ask if she would like to join us at our meeting. Well, she and her fellow Councilwoman Sharon Kalani went WAY above and beyond, and instead of just having a little discussion, the boys actually got to visit the City Council chambers where they were all sworn in and given roles to play in a mock City Council meeting. They all enjoyed getting a taste of city government in action, and we are so grateful to both councilwomen for hosting us and preparing such a cool activity for the boys! I continue to be impressed by both of these wonderful women and their deep commitment to public service❤️. Also, Sharon drives an exceptionally awesome car and let all of these boys climb in for a photo op 😂 Share your favorite shots of the City!
