The Los Altos – Palo Alto Bike Path will be closed for approx. 4 weeks to install 4 ADA ramps on Estrellita Way and Los Altos Ave. Please walk your bikes near construction areas for your safety. We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance mobility. Learn More   Aging Adult Resource Online Hub Los Altos received the Age-Friendly designation from the American Association of Retired Persons and the World Health Organization, and created an Age-Friendly Action Plan in 2024. Now, we're proud to announce an online hub for “Aging Adult Resources"! The resource hub spans from transportation, housing, emergency preparedness, and more. Apply to Open Positions   Daylighting Law (AB 413) To improve visibility and safety at intersections, California’s AB 413 went into effect this year on January 1, prohibiting parking within 20 feet of marked or unmarked crosswalks and 15 feet of curb extensions. Winchester-Merriman House, Scott Du Bose The oldest occupied residence in Los Altos The Winchester-Merriman House is the oldest occupied residence in Los Altos, in which Sarah Winchester (famously known for the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose) had gifted to her sister Isabelle Merriman.
