The Seattle Fire Department is now accepting entry-level Firefighter applications

Our entry-level Firefighter application period will close on *November 29, 2024 at 11:59 PM*. A link to the application is available on our website at www.SeattleFireJobs.com [ https://www.seattle.gov/fire/jobs-and-opportunities?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ].

Candidates who submit an application will receive instructions on how to complete the testing process. Candidates who have already completed this process will receive their scores after December 10, 2024.

*Video Exam: *


* *Option 1*: Take a video test (FireTEAM) between October 4 and December 10, 2024, conducted by the National Testing Network (NTN) either online or in-person at NTN testing centers. Important note: If you select Option 1, you forfeit the ability to transfer a current FireTEAM exam score (see Option 2 below).
* *Option 2: *Transfer any current FireTEAM score completed between October 4, 2023 and December 10, 2024. Applicants who elect to transfer scores will be able to add Seattle as a department following NTN's standard "department add" process. Seattle will only accept _one_ of the above test results options.

*PSSA1:*


* Complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment 1 online and submit scores before December 10, 2024.

*Candidates who pass both the FireTEAM and the PSSA1 will be invited to Oral Boards.*


* All candidates will receive their preliminary scores after December 10, 2024. 

*Oral Board Exam:* Will be held in-person in Seattle between January 21 and February 14, 2025 "(these dates are tentative and will be adjusted as necessary)."

The register created through this application period and testing process will be available in March 2025, and the first class hired from the new register will begin in August 2025. We anticipate hiring at least four recruit classes from this register.
