St. Patrick’s Day Parade

With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, it's time to gather your friends and family for one of Hermosa Beach’s most anticipated events: the 29th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade hosted by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce. This Saturday, March 15th, both locals and visitors are invited to join in the celebration, featuring live music, local businesses, and more.

The Parade kicks off at 11 A.M. near City Hall, travels west along Pier Avenue, and concludes at the corner of Hermosa and 10th Street. After the parade, head over to Pier Plaza for live music and a dance performance from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Please note that to accommodate the event, Valley Drive, Pier Avenue, and Hermosa Avenue will be closed from 4:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday. Plan your travels accordingly and enjoy the festivities. For additional information, visit the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce website [ https://www.hbchamber.net/parade/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ].

Pier Avenue & Lot A Resurfacing

At the City Council meeting on February 25th, a contract was awarded for annual street improvements, which will involve repaving Pier Avenue, Parking Lot A, Valley Drive, the intersection at Pier Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway, and several residential streets. Throughout the entire project, two-way traffic will be maintained, ensuring that customers and deliveries can continue to access business with minimal interruptions. A dedicated project website has been launched and will be updated regularly throughout the process. The construction is expected to take approximately four to six weeks, with all work occurring on weekdays. For the latest updates, please visit the City's website [ https://www.hermosabeach.gov/our-government/public-works/projects/street-improvements?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ].

In Case You Missed It

At its March 11th meeting, City Council proclaimed March 2025 as American Red Cross Month. This is a time to express our gratitude to the Red Cross volunteers and donors who selflessly dedicate their time and resources to supporting our community. Throughout March, we recognize and celebrate those who contribute to the American Red Cross’s mission of preventing and easing human suffering in times of crisis. Our community relies on the Red Cross, which continues to make a difference thanks to the support of volunteers and the generosity of individuals.

This past Wednesday, the community had the opportunity to connect with local law enforcement officers during a "What the Fuzz" event at Starbucks. It was a wonderful chance for residents to engage in casual conversations with the officers who serve and protect our neighborhoods. Over a warm cup of coffee, attendees were able to get to know the officers on a personal level, ask questions, and discuss any concerns or ideas about improving safety in the community.
