The East Lansing City Council met on Wednesday, July 31 at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC) for a special regular meeting. East Lansing Councilmember Mark Meadows was granted an excused absence. Watch this meeting from the beginning (https://youtu.be/GXUNr0apDW4?t=622) .



** 3.1 Consideration of an Explanatory Caption on Ballot Initiative for Charter Amendment About Housing
------------------------------------------------------------
Council considered adding an explanatory caption to a ballot initiative that has been proposed. The ballot initiative would add Chapter 2.3, Housing Regulation, to the East Lansing City Charter. After discussion, the Council voted to approve the following statement: "The proposed charter amendment below was initiated by a citizen initiated petition and not the East Lansing City Council."

The meeting was adjourned 6:52 p.m.
