Bellevue 2044 Updates - February Meetings, Surveys, FEIS!

Bellevue 2044: Comprehensive Plan Update New

February is a busy month for the Periodic Update to the Comprehensive Plan. The planning team is excited to share major news and opportunities for the community to participate this month.

*Final Environmental Impact Statement Released *

First is a major milestone,  the publication of the Final Environmental Impact Statement [ https://bellevuewa.gov/sites/default/files/media/pdf_document/2024/%21BellevueFEIS%2BAppendices_2024-01-23.pdf?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ] (FEIS). The release of the FEIS brings to a close the environmental review process. This document now serves as an important resource and reference as the Planning Commission and other boards and commissions consider their recommendations. There is no comment period, but members of the public are encouraged to review the parts that are of interest. 

*Two More Weeks to Comment on Policy Moves*

The planning team has released draft policy moves and are seeking community input *though February 16*. Members of the public can provide feedback on the following topic areas.

Input will be shared with the Planning Commission and other boards and commissions as they make their recommendations. Your voice is needed to help make sure Bellevue's future is livable, vibrant and welcoming. *Fill out these questionnaires by February 16*.

*Boards and Commissions Meetings*

This month the *Planning Commission* will be reviewing policy updates to the Land Use Element and reviewing the proposed Future Land Use Map. They will also be looking at proposed changes to Wilburton and BelRed policies and maps.

Meetings begin at 6:30 pm and are held in-person at City Hall or virtually on Zoom. Community members are encouraged to provide comments during the meeting or to submit comments to planningcommissions@bellevuewa.gov. The *Human Services Commission* will be meeting on *Tuesday, February 6* to make a recommendation on the Human Services element. That meeting begins at 6:00 pm. The *Parks and Community Services Board* will be meeting on Tuesday, February 13 to make a recommendation on the Parks, Recreation and Open Space element. That meeting begins at 6:00pm.
