The *Department of Local Services (DLS), Director’s Office*, is accepting applications for a *Director’s Office Project & Program Coordinator (Project/Program Manager II).* This role will be responsible for supporting and coordinating activities related to specific Director’s Office projects or programs, develop work plans to ensure organizational goals are met, drive the adoption of administrative practices, and coordinate work assignments to support timeliness of project and program deliverables. This position will coordinate all aspects of community, department leadership, and employee meetings. The role will lead the coordination of responses to customer inquiries. We are looking for someone who has a strong attention to detail, problem solving skills for identifying and implementing administrative system and documentation improvements, and effective communication skills for updating internal and external interested parties on project status. The role involves working closely with various senior department and County leaders, unincorporated area residents, and Director’s Office team members. The successful candidate will possess deep understanding of unincorporated King County, community partners, DLS engagement strategies, priority programs and initiatives, and the County legislation coordination process.
 
The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter who has excellent interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail an ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, a drive to meet deadlines, and a deep commitment to equity and social justice.
