Use #TorranceCA so we can find your shots and share them!     WHAT'S NEW Social Services Commission: Toiletries & More Drive The Social Services Commission is hosting their annual Toiletry Drive through April 30, 2024. The toiletry drive benefits organizations that serve people experiencing homelessness. Anyone with questions can call (310) 618-5880 or email the Social Services Commission. HELP OTHERS Metro C-Line Community Meetings Metro needs to hear from you! The Metro Los Angeles Board is holding a public meeting on April 25th at 10 a.m. regarding the Metro C-Line Extension to Torrance. This project would bring a light rail to the South Bay to provide alternatives to traffic along the I-405 Freeway corridor, with connections to the A (Blue) and E (Expo) lines. Trains from both the Metro C-Line (Green) and the future Crenshaw/LAX Transit project would run on this new extension and connect riders to two new Metro stations (one in Redondo Beach and one in #Torrance). L.A. Metro is considering multiple alignments. On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the Torrance City Council voted to continue its support for the city’s current position of using the Right-of-Way and accepting the LA Metro’s C-Line into Torrance.
