*Access gate to Queen’s Bath closed through winter*

PRINCEVILLE – Effective immediately, the access gate to Queen’s Bath in Princeville has been closed through winter in the interest of public safety.

“Access to the gate is closed due to hazardous ocean conditions and anticipation of the winter season,” said Ocean Safety Bureau Chief Kalani Vierra. “We urge the public that entry in these hazardous conditions can result in injuries or drownings, and neglecting these warnings places our first responders' lives unnecessarily at risk.”

For up-to-date information about Kaua‘i ocean conditions and ocean safety, please speak to a county lifeguard at any lifeguard station, visit www.safebeachday.com, or call the Ocean Safety Bureau at 808-241-4984.

Queen's Bath 1

Effective immediately, the Ocean Safety Bureau has closed the access gate to Queen’s Bath in Princeville through winter in the interest of public safety.

The public is advised that entry to Queen’s Bath during hazardous ocean conditions can result in injuries and drownings.
