*NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN* that the *CITY COUNCIL* of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a public hearing on *TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2024, at 6:30 PM* to consider the following:

*2024-2025 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM*

The public is invited to hear the City of Hermosa Beach’s proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, which identifies the projected use of funds for the Program Year July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, for submission to the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) as the pass-through agency for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

*CDBG Program Year 2024-2025 Funding Allocation: $69,398
Proposed Project: Installation of Americans with Disabilities Act-Compliant (ADA) Sidewalk and Curb Ramp Construction Project
*

This project will provide unobstructed paths of travel for elderly and severely disabled adults through the removal of architectural and material barriers such as broken and uplifted sidewalk panels, deteriorated and narrow sidewalk panels. Necessary ADA-compliant curb access ramps will also be installed to be compatible with the sidewalk improvements to remove architectural and/or material barriers to provide a clear path of travel for elderly and/or severely disabled adults. This project will use the City’s CDBG Program Year 2024-2025 allocation of $69,398. 2025-2026 CDBG funds available after July 1, 2025, estimated at $69,000 may be added to this project, for a total estimated CDBG project budget of $138,398.

*SAID PUBLIC MEETING* is open to the public and being held in-person in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, California 90254.
