The Behavioral Health and Recovery Division (BHRD) of DCHS is looking for an Involuntary Commitment Supervisor (CCS)/Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) Supervisor to provide supervision, training, consultation, and guidance to the Designated Crisis Responders who are responsible for evaluating people with behavioral health disorders for involuntary detention in psychiatric and secure withdrawal facilities according to the State of Washington law.

The responsibilities of the Designated Crisis Responder (DCR), Involuntary Commitment Services (CCS) Supervisor include providing supervision, training, consultation and guidance to the Designated Crisis Responder team. This includes completing performance assessments with their supervisees during probation and annually once probation is complete, providing consistent supervision in the field and the office, coaching and developing improvement plans as needed. Interpret statute, assist in implementation of involuntary detention statute amendments, review legal and case documentation completed by the DCR team and provide review of clinical cases. The CCS Supervisor works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a strong customer service practice and assists the CCS Coordinator in the development of clinical and office guidelines, policies and procedures.

*Additional Job Information*

*WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS: *This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime. Workers in this position are required to be part of the supervisor on-call rotation. The position provides on-call support to the DCR team on a 24-hour basis and on a weekly rotation with the supervisor team. During an emergency or community disaster, the supervisor may be required to work as an Involuntary Commitment Specialist at any shift times, weekends and/or holidays.

*UNION MEMBERSHIP:* This position is represented by the International Federation of Professional & Technical Employees, Local 17.  Membership is required within 30 days of employment.

*MISSION CRITICAL POSITION STATUS: *This position has been designated Mission Critical. Unless otherwise directed by the County Executive, department director or agency head, all employees, regardless of designation, are expected to report to work or request leave during an emergency or inclement weather.
