こんにちは、興味を持っていただきありがとうございます！
世界最古の長編小説と言われる源氏物語をご存知ですか？約1000年前の日本で紫式部という女性によって書かれた、魅力溢れる作品です。この度、オレゴン州ポートランド州立大学日本研究センターのご協力の元、源氏物語をお話しする機会をいただきました。日本語のわかる方だけでは勿体無いと様々な方からご支援頂き、英語字幕を導入した全世界へのオンラインイベントとして挑戦します。
語り手の友家しづは、2011年より源氏物語の原文の魅力を伝えるべく公演活動を行ってまいりました。原文の解説だけではなく、物語の背景にある人間関係や当時の習慣を含めて、様々な観点から源氏物語を紐解きます。Webラジオも無料公開していますので、少しでも興味を持っていただけた方はどうぞご視聴ください。
今回は主人公、光源氏の親子関係に注目し源氏が栄華を極めた第33章「藤裏葉巻」までを語ります。公演は日本語で行いますが、バイリンガルのスタッフを交えたQ&Aセッションも設けております。初めて源氏物語を読む方でも分かりやすい内容になっておりますので、この機会に源氏物語の魅力に触れてみませんか。公演を聴いているだけでも、日本古文独特の美しい音の響きを楽しんでいただける内容となっております。
