From the Bata Shoe Museum in Canada, Future Now: Virtual Sneakers to Cutting-Edge Kicks is a groundbreaking new exhibition that features nearly sixty futuristic footwear designs like the auto-lacing Nike MAG. It explores how cutting-edge technologies, unexpected materials, and new ideas are transforming footwear today. The provocative exhibition features digitally designed and 3D-printed shoes, sneakers made from mushroom leather and reclaimed ocean plastics, and footwear created for the metaverse. Portland is a sneaker town, and the Portland Art Museum is thrilled to share this exhibition with the community.

Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family brings the latest tyrannosaur discoveries to life, overturning preconceptions about these ferocious predators. The exhibition explores the most feared and revered of all dinosaurs in new and different ways.

戦後のGHQ占領下、民間貿易が再開された1947年（昭和22）から1952年まで、日本の輸出品には「Made in Occupied Japan（占領下の日本製）」と刻印することが義務付けられました。おもにアメリカに向けて陶磁器や漆芸品、金工品、おもちゃ、カメラなど、様々な製品が輸出され、近年では、刻印のある製品はコレクターズアイテムとなって親しまれています。

このたびの展覧会では、コレクターより寄贈されたオキュパイドジャパンコレクションお披露目の第三弾として、陶磁器製の小物を展示します。陶磁器製の置物や装飾品は、戦前より瀬戸を中心に輸出用として盛んに生産されていました。第二次大戦中の中断を経て、戦後に生産が再開されると、これらは洋食器と並んで主要な輸出品となります。精巧な製品もありましたが、多くはバラエティストアで売られる大量生産の安価で素朴なものでした。西洋人物をモチーフにした壁掛け、動物の置物や器、煙草入れや灰皿、ミニチュアなど、およそ75年ぶりに日本に里帰りしたかわいい小物の数々をお楽しみください。

Pharaoh is a landmark exhibition that celebrates three thousand years of ancient Egyptian art and culture. Through more than 500 works, including monumental sculpture, architecture, temple statuary, exquisite jewellery, papyri, coffins and a rich array of funerary objects, the exhibition unpacks the phenomenon of pharaoh, those all-powerful kings claiming a divine origin.

"The Kinsey African American Art & History Collection" celebrates the achievements and contributions of Black Americans from 1595 to present day. Considered one of the most comprehensive surveys of African American history and culture outside the Smithsonian Institution, the exhibition of the same name features the shared treasures amassed by Shirley and Bernard Kinsey during their five decades of marriage. The collection includes masterful paintings and sculpture, photographs, rare books, letters, manuscripts and more that offer a well-rounded look at the African American experience and provide new perspectives on the nation’s history and culture.

‘M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story’ takes a visual approach to examine the styles and practices of contemporary Chinese art from the 1990s to the present. The exhibition surveys how artists reconsider their cultural identities and express their uncertain state of being during China’s rapid modernisation in the 1990s. It brings together a multitude of works that exhibit qualities of overflowing visuals, ambiguous meanings, obsessions with transiency, and traditional interpretation. It offers a different perspective on understanding contemporary Chinese art and foregrounds its unique visual language through the lens of artists who strive for self-presence.
