King County Metro Transit is seeking to hire a skilled people leader to be the next *Fleet Engineering Superintendent *within the *Vehicle Maintenance division*. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the annual fleet engineering plan, managing budgets, and overseeing large-scale fleet retrofits and modifications. You will supervise a dynamic team that includes technical analysts and administrative staff, ensuring consistent application of labor policies and maintaining harmonious relationships with collective bargaining units. As part of your leadership duties, you'll also oversee fleet performance metrics, lead feasibility studies, and provide guidance on operational and administrative policies to support our mission of safe and reliable transit service.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven ability to inspire and develop teams in a diverse work environment. Recruitment details:_ We are accepting applications from all qualified candidates_, including King County Employees and the general public. This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) career service Fleet Engineering Superintendent position within the Vehicle Maintenance division. This recruitment may also be used to create an eligibility list of qualified candidates to fill future career service openings in this classification and workgroup, for use up to 12 months after the creation of the list, at the discretion of the hiring authority.
