Declaration of Elimination of Telephone Fraud
In June 2008, Funabashi City declared a state of emergency for victims of telephone fraud in response to the fact that the city temporarily ranked first among the worst cities in the prefecture, and has taken various measures. However, due to the many victims, on August 29, （ Thursday ）, Funabashi Mayor, Funabashi Police Chief, and Funabashi Higashi Police Chief jointly issued a "Declaration of Elimination of Telephone De Fraud" in place of this declaration.
Everyone is at risk of being deceived by telephone deception, but it can be prevented. To avoid being cheated, it is important not to talk to the culprit. Landline phone measures （ Ensure that you use the answering machine function, number notification service, and warnings ・ Use the call recording function ）.
