*About the Role:* 
The King County Wastewater Treatment Division is seeking dedicated, collaborative leaders to manage the Industrial Waste program. We need proven leaders who will leverage their leadership and program management expertise to strategically address and resolve challenges and effectively improve our program that serves our industrial customer base.

The IW Supervisor positions represent an exciting opportunity to manage the multi-faceted elements, program teams, and broad scope of work within WTD’s delegated pretreatment program. These positions allow for opportunities to help manage special projects, innovative approaches and tackle emerging challenges such as PFAS and nutrients from Industrial Users. The IW Supervisor positions represent a unique opportunity for career development and enhanced leadership roles in one of the best pretreatment programs in the country.

These two positions will supervise the daily operations of staff within the Industrial Waste Unit in the Wastewater Treatment Division’s Environmental and Community Services Section. Supervisors in this unit are responsible for the hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and development of the staff they supervise. The focus of their work will be overseeing investigators but could evolve to other disciplines in the unit over time or as assigned. The unit supervisors may oversee special projects and provide technical assistance to WTD staff, as well as communications with the work unit’s internal and external clients. The unit supervisors are subject matter experts, experienced and skilled in navigating complex issues and challenging problems. They are also highly skilled in growing staff and in creating highly effective teams.
