2024 marks the centenary of the birth of Jin Yong (Dr Louis Cha), a literary giant in Chinese literature. ‘A Path to Glory — Jin Yong’s Centennial Memorial’ is a memorial event that encompasses culture, art, creativity, heritage and education, paying tribute to the master of martial arts fiction. The event consists of ‘The World of Wuxia’ exhibition at Edinburgh Place, Central, and the ‘Sculpted by Ren Zhe’ exhibition at Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

The Colorado Music Festival brings magnificent music right to the heart of Colorado. Under the guidance of renowned conductor Peter Oundjian, the Festival fills the summer with uplifting evenings in Boulder’s historic, all-wood Chautauqua Auditorium. 2024 Festival highlights include the return of violinist Augustin Hadelich, pianist Olga Kern, and pianists Christina and Michelle Naughton; the world premiere of a new symphony by Gabriela Lena Frank; a celebration of Bruckner’s 200th birthday; and more, all with the help of the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra and some of the world’s most accomplished soloists.

As Brussels celebrates the 100th anniversary of surrealism, some of René Magritte's works will be traveling and gracing the walls of other exhibitions and museums. The Magritte Museum is taking advantage of this period to create a dialogue between the fascinating world of René Magritte (1898-1967) and the poetic creations of Jean-Michel Folon (1934-2005).

Kung fu and martial arts films, as well as their associated industries, have always been integral to Hong Kong’s pop culture. This year holds special significance as it marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary writer Jin Yong and the 20th anniversary of the passing of James Wong. To honour these influential figures, the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2024 has adopted the theme of ‘Arts & Action’, offering a journey through time to explore Hong Kong’s pop culture from new perspectives. The diverse programmes will feature thematic exhibitions, film screenings, stage performances and engaging outreach activities.

生誕160年を迎える京都画壇の革命児
竹内栖鳳と彼の導いた弟子たちの快進撃に迫る

Celebrate composer Bedřich Smetana's 200th Birthday with NVSO as we perform music from Bohemian composers including Smetana, Janáček, Fučík, and Dvořák. The party starts with Dvořák's Carnival Overture, we celebrate with Janáček’s Lachian Dances, and then we float down "The Moldau" river and travel through "Bohemia's Forests and Fields” with Smetana's Má Vlast.

戦後美術を中心とする東京都現代美術館の収蔵作品約5700点の中から、会期ごとに様々なテーマや切口を設けて作品を展示し、現代美術の持つ魅力を発信する「MOT コレクション」展。

日本が誇る映画監督、小津安二郎は明治36（1903）年、東京市深川区（現在の江東区深川）で生まれ、9歳までの年月を過ごしました。その後、生家にゆかりのある三重県松坂市で暮らしたのち、大正12（1923）年、ふたたび深川に転居しました。同年、松竹キネマ蒲田撮影所に撮影部助手として入社し、映画監督としての第一歩を踏み出しました。
小津作品に描かれる情景には生まれ育った深川の様子が大きく影響しています。

本展では、所蔵品の中からバラエティに富んだ素描作品の数々を展示し、「古径さんの素描」の知られざる魅力を紹介します。

長沢芦雪 (ながさわ ろせつ)は、18世紀後半の京都で活躍した人気絵師で、現代でも「奇想の画家」の異名で親しまれ、国内外で高く評価されています。本展覧会では、代表作の龍・虎図襖をはじめ、初期から晩年までの選りすぐりの作品が一堂に会します。

「水戸黄門」で知られる徳川光圀が生まれて395年。その生涯は現代にどのような意味があるのかを探ります。

One of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world, the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem marks the traditional birthplace of Jesus. During its 1,700-year history, it has survived invasions, regime changes, fire, and earthquakes. In 2013, the church underwent a process of renovation and restoration. After seven years of meticulous work, the church has been “reborn” and restored to its former glory.

本展では約30点の塑像に加え、全国に設置された作品をパネルで紹介し、古賀作品の魅力はもとより、塑造（像）をさまざまな側面から見て考える楽しみを提示します。
