"The Kinsey African American Art & History Collection" celebrates the achievements and contributions of Black Americans from 1595 to present day. Considered one of the most comprehensive surveys of African American history and culture outside the Smithsonian Institution, the exhibition of the same name features the shared treasures amassed by Shirley and Bernard Kinsey during their five decades of marriage. The collection includes masterful paintings and sculpture, photographs, rare books, letters, manuscripts and more that offer a well-rounded look at the African American experience and provide new perspectives on the nation’s history and culture.

Experience the sense of anxious anticipation of leaving home for an unpredictable future in a series of portraits by artist Shinae Kim who captures the feeling by investigating her own family’s migrant history.

‘M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story’ takes a visual approach to examine the styles and practices of contemporary Chinese art from the 1990s to the present. The exhibition surveys how artists reconsider their cultural identities and express their uncertain state of being during China’s rapid modernisation in the 1990s. It brings together a multitude of works that exhibit qualities of overflowing visuals, ambiguous meanings, obsessions with transiency, and traditional interpretation. It offers a different perspective on understanding contemporary Chinese art and foregrounds its unique visual language through the lens of artists who strive for self-presence.

3年に一度、開催される日本を代表する現代アートの国際展です。

東山魁夷《門》や、椿貞雄《鋸山から見た房総半島》といった開館初年度の収蔵作品から、令和5年度に新しく収蔵されたクワクボリョウタ《千葉県の形》まで、年代も技法も様々な合計73点の作品を展示。

Tres Artes: Pintura, Poesia y Pasion combines four dynamic art forms – high-quality live music, dancing, the visual art of Rolando Diaz, and the recitation of poetry by Garcia Lorca – into an unforgettable performance. In this sophisticated evening, Diaz will visually capture the vibrant essence of the flamenco arts on canvas by utilizing a lyrical and whimsical play of line and color, while exploring and capturing the parallels of political and social oppression throughout history.

2021年11月に開催された「気候変動アート展」の続編で2回目の開催です。「サステナブル」をテーマに株式会社メンバーズ社のアーティスト社員、進徳小学校6年生、市内3中学校美術部の有志が参加します。
